Our Current Plot
Honor. Courage. Survival. For many generations, the five Clans have dominated the forest, creating a code to befit their way of life and solidifying their ancestors' place in the sky. But as things change, so too do their perspectives on life, on love, on death. And as a new round of seasons dawn on the Clans... a lot more than that will change. Possibly forever.
Through the leaf-fall and leaf-bare, four of five Clans have lost their leaders. Four new leaders rise in their place. With so much new blood, and new ideas, in the forest, how long will it take before tensions begin to rise? How long will it take for someone to snap? As new rivalries and alliances rise and fall, the forest stands at risk of being torn apart. Clans that have stood for generations risk being reduced to nothing. Should a divide fall upon the forest, on which side will you stand? Or will you find yourself endlessly reaching out in between, hoping against hope that peace will come at last?
But more than that, shadows lurk on the horizon. Darkness creeps into the lives of the Clan cats, shadows that may corrupt them forever. Will you stay true to the code? Can you? Will there even be a code left to defend when the dust settles?
Only you can decide the answer to that question. Welcome to The Forest Awakens.

About Us and Our Setting
Here in The Forest Awakens, we'd like to think we're taking a somewhat unique, fun approach to the Warriors series, something that not many roleplays have tackled before! TFA is taking place in the old forest, back when the code is still being developed and the Clans are still finding their footing; it also features all FIVE original Clans! ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and SkyClan all inhabit the forest, with their own established territories and many generations of leaders before. So certain rules within the code and aspects of Clan life, such as patrol frequency, "forbidden romance," Clan blood purity, etc., all varies from leader to leader/Clan to Clan, as opposed to being universal codes. (Please do check our rules for certain things, though, especially regarding forbidden romance.) And with four brand new leaders taking the stage, it's bound to be an exciting time, right? Or stressful, if you're Claystar.
More importantly, still, though, since the Clans and StarClan are all still relatively "new," the Dark Forest does not exist. Please refrain from referencing it in biographies and in roleplay! If one of your character's relatives could be considered "evil," it's still believed that they would have gone to StarClan if they served their Clan until they died. Keep that in mind! Slip-ups are alright, since we understand that this might be a new kind of concept, but just try!
All in all, if you have absolutely any questions, please feel free to contact, whisper, or PM a staff member or high rank within your Clan for more information!

Current Roleplay History
No significant events have happened yet in roleplay, since The Forest Awakens has not yet opened. However! Each Clan has their own "Clan History" thread within each specified Clan board that you can investigate. But, just in case you don't feel like scrounging, here's a brief overview of forest-wide news over the past generation or so!
Shellstar started out as noble. Strong. Respected. The leader of RiverClan wasn't always bloodthirsty and powerhungry, but as moons went on, he seemed to be consumed by something dark within him. Multiple wars were provoked, mostly with WindClan and ShadowClan, and many lives were lost as a result. He was relentless, and frequently played dirty and was far too violent for most cats' likings. ShadowClan, in particular, was victim to some of Shellstar's more vicious campaigns, and were devastated as a result. Elsewhere in the forest, SkyClan and ThunderClan had occasional tiffs, but generally stayed out of the drama between the other three Clans, led by noble leaders who tended to keep the peace.
But, over the past few seasons, great change has come to the forest. First were the twin deaths of Patchstar and Eaglestar, bringing Doestar to ThunderClan's head and Teaselstar to SkyClan's. Second, not a few moons later, was the rise of Vulturestar in the wake of ShadowClan losing Smokestar. And now, rumors circle that in RiverClan, even Shellstar has fallen, though nobody on the other side of the river seems to want to confirm. Meanwhile, from the moors, Claystar and his Clan have watched all this transpire with slight trepidation. With all these new faces, what will become of the forest?
Who, other than StarClan, can see the path ahead?
