TFA Introduction {A Guide for New Faces}

WHO ARE WE?

At the conception of The Forest Awakens, some interested parties got together and said to each other, "Hey, wouldn't it be awesome to make a roleplay that brought a bunch of different communities together, to build into something long-lasting and that we can all be proud of?" You can rest assured that it was said with a lot more caps, memes, and nerdy catchphrases, but that was the essence of it. So thus began the loose planning, the naming, the idea swapping, the site creation, etc. Before it was thusly named, we knew that we wanted TFA to be big.

But, we knew from experience that to make any roleplay big, long-lasting, and fun, we would have to put in a lot of effort, and time, into the development. Build something stable and planned, with a solid and passionate team behind it, before we let it loose. After a while, we decided it was time to make the announcement and get more people involved. Thus, New Year's Eve. We announced on Skype, and in FH, that we were beginning construction on The Forest Awakens, and this community was officially born.

You've heard us say that we want this to be one of the most expansive, inclusive, and fun roleplays around. But what does that even mean?


All in all, we want everyone to be involved. Because this will be an RP with five Clans instead of the traditional four, it opens up more high ranks, more plots, more dynamics and interactions that could be a lot of fun. That means that, in total, there are fifteen high ranks to fill up. That's practically twice the size of even the biggest staff groups in your typical Warriors roleplay! We want to bring together different leaders, different communities, together - hence expansive. Many might mistake that for wanting to take over other groups' member bases, but that is in no way, shape, or form, our intention! We want to bring together the minds behind different roleplays to collaborate, to work together, to build a roleplay that, as of now, only has a name, a dream, and a few dreamers behind it.


We all know, though, that a roleplay is far more than the staff or the high ranks. The member base, those supportive and amazing people who are online every day, who participate, who make the roleplay successful... they, and everyone, deserve to be rewarded and loved for their effort! That's what we aim for in TFA. We say, and mean, that we want everyone to be involved. We want your ideas, your feelings, your thoughts, and we want that to fuel the direction we take, because YOU'RE the ones who will make it happen. When you're invested, and you're motivated, and you're having fun, so is the staff team. Because they, we, are just like you. We're also looking to have fun and interact with you and each other. In TFA, we want everyone's thoughts to matter, no matter your age or experience. All you need is passion, and determination, and there will always be a place for you in our community!

(NEW!) In addition, inclusion in TFA also means that, in all cases, credit will go where credit is due. While there might be no "I" in "team," we believe that all great ideas and contributions should be recognized, no matter who they came from. For example, a thread of this nature was the idea of [ Professor_Llama ], and I was given the blessed permission to run with it and write this lil' bad boy out. [ ☠ʀᴀʙʙɪᴛʙᴏɴᴇs☠ ] is our mapmaker, and is working hard to create and provide the beautiful map we'll be using come summertime. Other collaborators, I believe, will also be involved. Plus, this beautiful site you see? A completely custom skin designed by the talented [ yes ]!

Hard work and brilliant ideas don't appear out of thin air. They come from the creative and amazing minds of you, the members, the team, behind this roleplay. And we want everyone to feel like a part of this development, and included in our RP. And we intend to make good on our word - if we're not, constructive feedback is always welcome in PM!


Hopefully I don't need to explain this one too much! Lordy, all we want to do is have fun, right? Basically, we want TFA to focus around enjoying ourselves. It will have a big plot, one with some secrets here or there, for everyone to discover. We all love the plot twists, the big reveals, those battles and the dramatic Gatherings, right? Exactly! We want The Forest Awakens to be intense, thought out, and driven, so everyone enjoys themselves over a long period of time. A welcome retreat and getaway from the stress of school, family, or whatever else might be putting obstacles in your life's path.


Register! Get involved! Audition for a high rank! You can see members putting up characters already, talking on Skype (we'll happily add folks who want to be added to the semi-official Skype group we have going!), chilling on FeralHeart, etc. We won't become the dream we want without you! Ladies and gentlemen, while The Forest Awakens doesn't plan on opening until the summer, we have a lot of work ahead of us. For those with misgivings, or tiffs with current folks involved, please, reconsider before turning away! We want to exist in a community of peace and love, with elements from all over FH, with the unique minds of all! Help us to create the dynamic, unique, creative, and long-lasting community that FeralHeart deserves.
