Tom oh tom, it looks like there was quite the change to the roster this full moon! I don't know about you, but I definitely noticed it right off! See, you had Sheepleap, WindClan's medicine cat, replacing BOTH Claystar and Grassbreeze. And the same thing happened in ShadowClan with Cloverstep leading! Can you imagine? And Bramblethorn was leading the SkyClan patrol instead of Teaselstar! Great stars, I definitely hope that's not an indication of where this forest is headed, am I right? (Also, did I detect some tension between Koistar and Bramblethorn? Spicy!)

RiverClan seems to have had a dog on their territory, those unlucky swimmers, though with good prey, it doesn't seem to have affected much. Next, did it sound like to you that ShadowClan and ThunderClan got into a tiff? Hm, well, that's what it sounded like to me! ShadowClan announced that, sadly, one of their cats died from injuries in the skirmish, while ThunderClan made it pretty clear that border patrols were going to increase. SkyClan's doing just fine, not much going on in their section of the forest, but hey, that's never a bad thing! Then, WindClan seems to have been struck by a whitecough breakout (cover your muzzles, dears!), plus things just seem to be rough on the moors in general. Twolegs are causing some serious problems, those irresponsible pests, but at least WindClan had the birth of some new kits to brighten the moon.

I don't know about you, but even though it felt like the average Gathering, there just feels like there's something bubbling, you know? Like there's sparks beginning to ignite. It makes this old furball kind of nervous! Looks like we'll just have to see what else fate has in store for us, yeah?

It looks as though all the Clans were fairly busy this past moon, but don't think for a moment that the action is going to slow down! Until the next Gathering, here's a few in-character events that we know will be transpiriing:

☛ SkyClan! Be on the lookout, for danger could be lurking on your territory. Tune in on Friday night, June 30th, at around 4/5 p.m. EST (or later, depending on activity), to participate in an event!
☛ Medicine cats, go ahead and let your leaders know when it would be best to have the second medicine cat meeting. The first one got jumbled a bit due to scheduling and uncertainty, so we're trying to learn from our mistakes! Please, please let us know what days/evenings you think you'll be free over the course of the next week.
☛ For all cats of the forest! Next week, you may want to check your weather radar. There'll be some fun environment-related events transpiring for every Clan, so be sure to keep an eye out! Specific days and times for these events have yet to be determined.
☛ In RiverClan, with the warmer weather, seems it might be attracting some strange creatures onto/around your territory! Keep an eye out for potential mini-events regarding this update.
☛ There'll be increased Clan interaction over the next two weeks, varying from patrol meetups to potential camp visits, etc.! Leaders will be arranging these encounters on a daily basis, so don't miss out on a chance for some fun! Keep comin' online and being active for the chance to participate.

TFA is still taking place in newleaf, but there have been some changes! WindClan cats, you might be finding it a little harder to get a hold of prey with the Twolegs stomping about, though herbs are probably still plentiful. Other Clans still seem to be thriving in terms of prey and herbs, however! But that would always change, yes?


Tensions rising... The forest is starting to feel the tremors of change, and it isn't just the cats that are beginning to show signs of distress. Here's some ideas for roleplaying sessions:


☛ Spots of rain and windiness. Hm, perhaps while your cats are talking, the weather may get momentarily nasty. Like cloudbursts or gusts of wind that might interfere with hunting or training! Best watch out. Little bizarre, don't you think?
☛ Increased patrols. Maybe your characters are starting to get a little jumpy. Increased border patrols always makes you and your Clanmates feel a little safer! Perhaps you want to organize some patrols even without the deputy prompting you.
☛ Camp improvement. It's like home improvement, only for... cats. Maybe you and your fellow warriors will feel a little better if that hole in the bramble ceiling of the den gets patched up. It might do you well in the days and weeks to come! Mentors, maybe having your apprentices help in these endeavors might be a welcome relief from cleaning the elders' dung, hm?
☛ In-camp games. Everyone needs a little stress-relief. Maybe some tag or other fun games might be a worthwhile roleplay session to start up!


One of the biggest out-of-character going on is the continued staff search for Clan-specific and a global helper to join our staff team. Read the details and possibly apply here!

For any and all players that are interested, if you wish to create a loner or rogue character, we now have the rules for outsider character creation located here. It's in the Outsiders board, but not with the biographies!

TFA is undergoing an activity check! We can to try and clear out the unfortunate children who joined and didn't end up getting too involved, to clear up Clan rosters and potentially open up spots for new members. Please see the information on it here. It will end on July 5th. Please remember that logging on once or twice and then logging right after will not count as being active! Leaders and staff will have the right to approach you to ask if you still want to be in TFA should your activity be poor.

This upcoming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 1st and 2nd, The Forest Awakens will have a quick recruiting weekend, during which ALL Clans will be open for joining! Leaders will more often than not be on the Grounds recruiting, though we'll be sure to have RP going on in the evenings as well. We're going to try and limit how many join certain Clans, to keep things even, but it might be fun to chill out in the Grounds as a group and maybe get some more new members!~ After all, there are some big plans coming up, and we'd love to have as many people involved as possible.
